It's rare to have heard of Ayn Rand and not have a strong opinion of her ideas. Many people are immediately captivated by her logical approach to developing a complete philosophy of life. Others are revolted by her rigid, uncompromising rejection of irrationality. Sometimes people that hold a negative opinion of her may have only seen or heard her ideas outside a complete context. Here's a good summary of Rand's beliefs (very high-level) as presented by Dr. Onkar Ghate, Senior Fellow at the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights.
