The Ethics of Objective Morality
Ethics
Ethics is the study of the code of values that guide human choices and actions. Full context must be given in order to define and understand abstract concepts such as “morality” and “rights”. Beliefs about ethics and politics are conclusions reached as a result of a more fundamental philosophical understanding of reality and of a human being’s relation to reality. The conceptual abstractions of ethics and politics are not any kind of a primary. Most people treat every concept they encounter as a primary without any regard to its hierarchical philosophic roots. Understanding that these concepts are not primaries is the first challenge in a discussion of “morality” and “rights”.
