Another Email Scam or Real Opportunity for Wealth?
Here is the email I received. Please Help! Is this another scam from a "government official" or is this a legitimate opportunity to get something for nothing?
I don't consider myself to be stupid, gullible, or greedy. In fact, I can usually recognize a scam as soon as it hits my inbox. There is no way I am giving my bank account number to some foreign government official. Ha.
However, some scams are not so easy to detect. I recently received a forwarded message from a buddy that sounds too good to be true. The promises made in the compelling message below give me hope in my heart that things in my life are about to change for the better. But, my mind is telling me this might be a scam. Let me know what you think......

Dear America Citizen,
I am a friend of your Uncle Samuel and he has ask me to contact you for his helps. Samuel is in trouble because of royal families in Washington DC and New York make embarrassing money problems. Your uncle helps save children in need and takes care of elderly and poor. For every $2 you give him, he spends $3 or $4 on helping you. Do not worry how he gets his wealth. He is regular Santa Claus.
Sadness, for short-term only. He has no more monies and can't pay. His stingy friend in China won't give loan. Selfish people want to cut out his helping programs. But your uncle has plans and needs your help.
I will going to print billions of brand new IOU tickets that are fully backed by more IOU's that are backed by your uncle's good name and his band of bodyguards. People will spend these imaginary monies. Haha. Big banks support transaction. No problems.
My friend, here's how to help save the world and economies and get RICH. Every time you get your hands on imaginary Uncle Samuel Monies, spend as quickly as you can. Buy real things. The more spending you makes, the more wealthy you get. You see, as long as you consume, the rest of the world countries will produce for you. You get their wealth by consuming it. Me and your uncle will keeping export more imaginary monies to them to keep them happy. They likes saving the monies. Ha. Just think that you are on top of a great pyramid.
Soon the world will dependent themselves on our consumption. Uncle Samuel will make sure it is your job to sit at home and consume food and entertainment from the world all day. This is a full time job – 100% employment spending monies. He will pay for health care and retirement too with these imaginary monies. No problems. The world will always keep wanting imaginary monies.
Do not worry that these new monies get more and more worthless by each day. Someone else will be stuck with them in the end. That is why you have to spend them fast. Just keep spending your way to wealth. Get RICH now! You just have to trust in your Uncle and trust in me as your friend.
Don't not miss this opportunity to get RICH for nothing! All you have to do is SPEND my imaginary monies.
Pass this on to your friends so they can know the secret to get rich too! Soon our economy will be prospering again. Uncle Samuel will pay back his loans. We will all live like kings forever. Spend like an American!
You just have to trust in your brothers and sisters.
Kindness friendship,
Bernanke Obama

I ask the reader for advice. Please help by voting below.
Does this email sound legitimate to you? I want the best future for myself and my family, but I feel I might be blinded by the empty rhetoric into believing it is possible to get something for nothing?
Is this a scam to confiscate real wealth? It sounds like it might be a pyramid scheme that will confiscated my real wealth and the wealth of future generations. Once something like this gets out of hand we might not have recourse to stop it.
Is this some variant of the “Advanced Fee Fraud” like the Nigerian money scams, or is this really the deal of the century?

Closing Thoughts
So, the son of Nigerian royalty needs a $10 thousand loan in order to transfer his entire $26 million fortune into my bank account! No need to subject the lad to an embarrassing legal problem if I can help him out and make a few million in the process! How lucky am I! You say all I need to do is send over my bank account information for the funds transfer? OK!
Think this sounds silly? Most people can spot the fraudster and scam artist with ease. But if they are so easy to spot, why do these scams continue to exist? ….Because some people do actually take the bait.
Scams similar to the one above exist because some people are willing to blindly risk what they think are relatively small, insignificant sums of money in hopes of getting a windfall of riches promised in the future. They don't take the time to understand the facts of the situation. Occasionally, the allure of getting rich for what seems like practically nothing works to convince otherwise ordinary people into doing something really, really dumb...like the lady who drained her entire retirement account and mortgaged her house and car to send $400 thousand to the “Central Bank of Nigeria.”
Are the victims of money scams less intelligent than the average person? Are they just exceedingly gullible?
Why do most people laugh at the thought of being ripped off by a Nigerian Bank Scam, but let themselves be ripped off every single day by the Real-life American Bank Scam!?!?!?
